· Well, the most important difference is who will get the lion share of your exam fees!
· The study materials are almost the same and the logics and rationales behind them are exactly the same. IGBC has more of less adapted the same US Green Buildings codes into an Indian scenario.
USGBC and IGBC are not-for-profit organizations primarily focusing on promoting Green Building movement in their respective countries and these exams are their way to make sure people are voluntarily/by force(!) take notice of their Green Building Practices.
Within the Indian context, IGBC AP and LEED AP are of practically the exact same use for a building professional. I would advise you to consider IGBC AP exam because:
· The IGBC AP exam fee is just a fraction of LEED AP
· The study materials are almost the same
· The IGBC AP exams seems to be fairly easy as compared to LEED AP and
· Both are of same practical use within the Indian context.
Also you need to renew your LEED AP certification every 3 year, while IGBC AP is devoid of this requisite as of now.Read Next Topic: My feeler about IGBC AP exam | Go Back to Main Page: IGBC AP Study Guidelines |
